Name: Kyle

Age: 22

School: Missouri State

Favorite Movies: STAR WARS

Favorite Food: Burrito

Favorite Bible Verse or Story: Isaiah 6:8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

Favorite Camp Song: ESPN GRACE SONG! That probably doesn't count.

If you had a pet unicorn, what would be the first thing you would do?  Trot around my friends throwing glitter and making it rain.

What is the best trip you’ve ever taken and why? California. Love the weather, the cities, the beach. But what made it really stand out was that I made a really wonderful friend that has changed my life since then. She pushed me into coming to camp, which has pushed my faith further and has also pushed me as a man. I owe a lot to her.

Do you speak any other languages? I can say like 5 words in Spanish on a good day.

Best advice you’ve received? No one has anything figured out. The only one who has answers is God. The best place to find answers is to go out into His creation and talk to God.

Final fun fact: I am tall…some might even say really tall.

Name: Olivia

Age: 20

School: University of Central Missouri

Favorite Movies: Pride and Prejudice (with Keira Knightly, of course) and The Prince of Egypt

Favorite Bible Verse or Story: Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your path straight.

Favorite Camp Memory: GIRLS NIGHT. Summer 2014. We did our nails, had face masks, awesome snacks, and even swapped girly stories. My favorite part was that we talked about our relationship with Christ and how we can support each other.

What is the best trip you’ve ever taken and why? The best trip I have ever taken was to northern Michigan. I was working with Habitat for Humanity and had the best time because I got to know awesome people in the community and serve them to the best of my abilities. And I got to help build a house. HOW COOL IS THAT??

Do you speak any other languages? Does Pirate count? Arrrrg….

What’s the funniest memory from your childhood? One time, when I was in second grade, my class had to sing a song called “The 8 states around Missouri” in front of the entire school. Some of us got to hold up cutouts of certain states around Missouri and say the name out loud, and I happened to be Iowa. Well for some reason I was not happy about being Iowa and wanted to be Kansas instead (Don’t ask me why). During the performance when it was my turn to say my state out loud, I proclaimed, “IOWA, BUT KANSAS IS BETTER”. I still laugh about it to this day.

Final fun fact: An ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain. It is not true that the ostrich hides its head in the sand in time of danger. But young birds will conceal themselves by lying down and stretching their necks out along the ground.

Name: Matthew

Age:22

School: Kansas State University

Favorite Movies: The Lion King

Favorite Bible Verse or Story: Philippians 4:6Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

Favorite Camp Song: Light the Fire

If you had a pet unicorn, what would be the first thing you would do? Bring it to camp…. duh

If you could have dinner with any three people, dead or alive, who would you choose? Steve Irwin, Bill Snyder, and Paul the Apostle.

Who is your hero and why? My mother. She has worked so hard to provide for me. She constantly proves those who doubt her wrong, and she is so much stronger than she realizes.

Best advice you’ve received? That’s a hard one. I’ve been given so much good advice. Probably to stop labeling events as good or bad. You never know how it will impact your life down the road.
