Week 5: Senior High Night Owl

This week has been worshiping under the stars and learning more about who we are. We have cooked our meals over the fire, supported each other at the high ropes course, and grown closer during night games.

Our evening worships have been a highlight. By the light of a campfire we worship through song and listening to the Lord’s word. We have been exploring this summer’s theme “I am” by trying to answer the question “who do I want to be?”. After our evening worship we have the chance to play a night game. This has ranged from Glow-in-the-Dark Ultimate Frisbee to Romans and Christians.

Another highlight has been the way the Lord has shown himself through the activities we’ve gotten to do. These include horses, mud pit volleyball, archery, and so much more. While not a game, cooking our meals over the fire has also been a blessing. Through the challenge of getting the fire lit, keeping it going, and all working as a team, we have been able to learn and grow. I am so thankful for the way we’ve been able to come together as a camp fam.

The Lord has made Himself evident in many ways this week but none more than our group dynamics. Through all our diversity and differences we’ve been united by the Holy Spirit. Our uniqueness’s have brought us together and it has been such a blessing to get to know all of the campers here.

In Christ,
