Activities Facilitator
Heartland Camps and Retreat Center is seeking energetic and reliable people with an appreciation for Christian ministries to lead our various activities on-site. We have positions available as Horse Wranglers, Ropes Course Facilitators, Archery Instructors and Lifeguards. No prior experience necessary! We will train!
This is a flexible position, with hours when our summer camps and guest groups reserve activities. You can choose if you want mostly weekends, weekdays, or a combination of both.
Pay starts at $15.00/hr

Part-Time Housekeeper
Heartland Center is seeking a hard-working and reliable person with an appreciation for Christian retreat and camp ministries, housekeeping experience, time management skills, and attention to detail to serve as a part-time Housekeeper. This person is responsible for cleaning the conference center lobby, restrooms, hotel rooms, and retreat lodges; completing, folding, and organizing laundry in the on-site laundry room; and other housekeeping tasks as assigned.
This person will work 8-15 hours over three-four days. Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays.
Pay starts at $12.50/hr with the opportunity for a pay increase as you take on responsibility

Kitchen Lead
Little experience required- we are willing to train the right person in a commercial kitchen! Heartland Center, Parkville, MO, is looking for a person with an appreciation for Christian retreat and camp ministries, prior cooking experience (preferred), and leadership experience to serve as Kitchen Lead. This person is responsible for preparing and serving meals to retreat guests and summer campers, maintaining a clean kitchen and dining area, washing dishes, leading support staff, and encouraging a positive work environment.
This is a part-time position with often 30-40 hours per week available during the summer and more irregular hours available September – April.
This position is pretty flexible as shifts vary from week to week.
Pay is $14/hr

Kitchen Helper
Little experience required – we are willing to train the right person in a commercial kitchen! Heartland Center, Parkville, MO, is looking for a person with an appreciation for Christian retreat and camp ministries, a positive, team-player attitude, experience with cooking, or a willingness to learn to serve as a Kitchen Helper. This position is responsible for helping prepare meals, keeping a clean kitchen and dining environment, and washing dishes.
This is a part-time position with often 30-40 hours per week available during the summer and more irregular hours available September – April.
This position is pretty flexible as shifts vary from week to week.
Pay starts at $12/hr with the opportunity for a pay increase as you become proficient in the job
