65 Years Of Camp Experience

Small Groups = Best Groups

Your camper is too fantastic to be lost in the crowd with 50 other kids running around a gym. That is why we have been running small group camps since 1958. Your camper will be in a group with ten other campers their age and two counselors. They will do everything together during a day of camp, from Bible study to singing camp songs to splashing in the pool. The best part is that among all those fun activities, something even better forms, camp friendships.

Camp friendships are a lot more like family, which is why we, creatively enough, call our small groups “family groups”. Your camper will have one consistent family group for their whole time in All Summer Adventure. We have found that it leads to a summer full of inside jokes, made-up games, favorite camp songs, and a lot of joy. Staff stay the same, too, so they know all about each camper’s allergies, favorite games, and least favorite snacks. They spend the summer getting to notice, affirm, and grow your camper’s individual gifts.

We do our specialty summer activities a couple of times each over the course of the summer: rock wall, archery, horseback riding, inflatables, and creek walks.

We also have a specialty activity that is unique to each week. A few examples from last year are; pottery, weaving, nature exploration, and STEM.

Do You Go on Field Trips? We love our 320-acre site at Heartland, but we couldn’t resist some extra adventure! We go on one field trip a week. A couple of places we went to were Kalidascope, a local water park, and Sky Zone.

We know that leaving camp is a big responsibility, and like all things at camp, our first priority is safety. We follow all American Camp Association standards for camp field trips and would be glad to talk to you more about our field trip policies.

Camper Safety

We know that Christ-centered relationships change lives. We also know that extraordinary relationships can’t form if a camper isn’t physically and socially safe. So, it’s safe to say we are pretty passionate about creating a safe space for campers to make memories.

All of our staff are college-aged and go through a two-week training. That includes training on risk management, age group characteristics, group management, behavior correction, and more. Our staff are also trained in first aid and CPR through the American Red Cross.

Our small groups also really help with camper safety. Our staff-to-camper ratio of 1 to 6 helps us spot an issue early and step in quickly. Our counselors will know each camper deeply, knowing what makes a particular camper nervous or uncomfortable, and be able to help.

We are an American Camp Association accredited camp, which means we follow the highest industry standards for safety.
