Seeing how God works in and through this ministry.
If I’m not at Heartland, you’ll find me spending time with family or bouldering with friends!
My favorite verse is Psalms 27 and my favorite story is the story of Lazarus.
Associate Executive Director
I came to Heartland first as a middle school camper through a friend of a friend. In my time as a high school camper, Heartland became my favorite place on earth and I have been a part of this ministry since.
Overnight Camp Program Director
It’s the entire Bible. I have read and listened to God's word for many years and I love that I am always learning something new, or hearing it a different way and depending on the season I am always given what I need.
I first came to Heartland as a camper when I was 9 years old. I continued to learn and experience the way God uses camp to teach about His grace, love, and joy through His people. My passion for attending camp turned into a passion for serving at camp and has now brought me to my position as Heartland's Day Camp Director.
Day Camp Program Director
My sister and I are mirror twins. This means some of our of features are asymmetrical. For example I’m left handed, she’s right handed, and our dental structure is entirely “mirrored”.
Marketing & Recruitment Director
There’s so much variety to this job, I love that I get to do something different everyday.
Hospitality Maintenance Associate
Program Maintenance Associate
I like being one of the first points of contact for people, either by phone or in person. My hope is to make people feel welcome when they stop in, or that they are heard when they call with a question. And of course, I love the community of co-workers here!
Excel spreadsheets :) But really all my awesome co-workers.
I have been a part of Heartland Presbytery for years and have participated in numerous church retreats out here over the years.
My favorite bible story is Ruth and Naomi. It's a story of incredible selfless love for another person. It's also a story of incredible faith in the Lord and I love seeing how in the end God provides for Ruth.
I love working at the place I feel closest to God, a Christian camp. Along with working with incredible people and doing the job I love so that it really never feels like work.
I wrote a poem about whales in fourth grade and it was published, so I am an officially published author.
A bible story I really love is the story of Moses stepping up to be a leader. Many times I feel inadequate, and don't fully understand why God leads me into certain roles or places. He used Moses, someone who did not feel qualified for the task that the Lord has set out for Him, to free His people from Egypt .
